Why we do it

It's astounding how every time a noble deed is done its motives are questioned!! The question which arises is what exactly drives one to give back to society, to share the privilege with the have-nots, the shut-outs. Doesn't this urge to give back what really makes us human in the first place?

The founders of Phoenix Pads have always believed their fortunes will only be valuable if they can help someone who's deprived of it. They have stayed grounded and supported the very reason that brought them (like each one of us) into this world; WOMEN. 

Phoenix Pads aims to reach every woman that menstruates. Only 18% of women in India have access to sanitary hygiene products in India. If that isn't horrifying enough, a whopping 23 million girls in India drop out of school each year, as soon as they get their first period. This is due to society's attitude towards menstruation and the lack of hygienic menstrual resources around them. As if the trauma of being graded impure, dirty, unholy, and being secluded from the household for a week each month wasn't enough, women are also forced to let go of the one life skill they need the most, that of education!

While the world was busy debating, Phoenix pads rose as its namesake to help underprivileged women overcome unhealthy intimate hygiene practices, with their varied campaigns. It is our shared responsibility to bring a change!
